The summer, which goes down in the books as one of the warmest, is once again behind us. Most campsites are quiet again. And that leaves room for maintenance! Because to make the next peak season successful, preparations must start now. What additional facilities do you offer your guests? The most obvious addition is a good, fast and reliable Internet connection. Just a few years ago it was an attractive extra, now it is a requirement for most guests.

The benefits of fiber optics

Fiber optics has several major advantages over other connections. It has the highest Internet speed while connecting multiple devices to a fiber network simultaneously without slowing down the connection. There are also fewer outages; fiber optic is more stable than other Internet connections, making it very suitable for business and other heavy use. It is not susceptible to lightning or heat, and data traffic is more secure and harder to tap.

Quickly recouped investment

Recently, it has also become possible to install a fiber connection in outlying areas. Installing fiber optics is also an investment that pays off quickly and adds value to the campground. So there are hardly any reasons not to choose fiber. With fiberglass, you have gold in your hands! But heading into the next season, it is advisable not to wait too long and so get to work on it quickly. So we provide some more insight in the form of a roadmap:

Step 1: Explore the options
In a personal appointment, we will coordinate options for your specific situation. This is how we see if the need is there on both sides to start working together.

Step 2: Make a choice
We start the engineering process. This involves taking stock of your current situation. What connections do you already have? Do you have other plans, such as expansion or power upgrades? From there, a plan for the development of the fiber optic connection follows. For example, would you like to have it installed in phases or all at once?

Step 3: Determine the method of financing
After defining the scope, the “commercial phase” begins. Together we will look at how best to finance the fiber connection. We recently produced a white paper on this, listing financing options.

Step 4: We build the network
Once the contracts are signed, we will schedule when we will install the cables and connection points. How much time this takes depends on the number of connections and surface area. At a large resort with hundreds of homes, it may take several months to complete everything, but at a smaller campground, several weeks. Phased construction is also possible.

Step 5: Bluetrace provides the connection
Once the network is in place, we will connect all camping sites and/or vacation homes. And that means there will be super-fast and -reliable Internet there from then on.

Step 6: Surfing, zapping, binging and gaming away!
In addition to Internet access, Bluetrace offers several television packages to make the party complete.

Now is the time to make sure your guests can enjoy vacations with high-speed Internet next year. Bluetrace connects!
