Last month the Recreation Trade Fair took place in Hardenberg. Heading into the next vacation season, more than 300 exhibitors showcased their recreational products and services for the more than 8,000 visitors. From November 15 to 17, the Hardenberg Evenementenhal was filled with great initiatives and enthusiastic visitors. It seemed like we were already in peak season!

This fair showcases the Dutch recreation market at its broadest. Everything recreational was there, from flexible water taps for boats to digital hiking trails for campgrounds. It also meant that our target audience was there.

Gold in hands

Bluetrace had laid out a golden carpet for Trade Show visitors. That one came out, if we do say so ourselves, in a very nice booth. The atmosphere there was good and the audience was enthusiastic about the many perks. It created a positive image and many visitors.

So in our booth there was a lot of gold on display. And, of course, not without reason… In fact, having a campsite or vacation park glazed is a golden investment that you can recoup much faster than you probably think. Vacation guests go to great lengths to take advantage of high-speed, reliable Internet access. So with fiberglass, you have gold in your hands!

Our visitors were allowed to have gold framed photos and the contest, where visitors had to guess how many coins were in a large glass jar, also proved a great success! The winner managed to guess exactly the right number and has since received a nice prize.

Roadmap

The fair organizers had organized everything to perfection, both visitors and exhibitors were very satisfied with the three days. We were able to inform many interested parties and provide them with non-binding advice on future-proof Internet connections in the recreation sector. The realization that you have gold in your hands with fiber optics is growing among campground and resort owners.

The only downside for us is that commercially this fair does not take place at the best time of the year. Indeed, we are now relatively late in the preparation phase for the upcoming vacation season, given the steps that need to be taken to provide fiber optics to a large campground by April 1. But … for the slightly smaller recreation sites, we can still make it, so contact us soon! We previously wrote a blog about the roadmap to fiber optics, which you can find on our website.

See you soon!

What we all saw and who we all talked to confirmed for us that every self-respecting party in the recreation industry should attend this fair. Instead of driving across the country to speak to each other, everyone gathered in one central location. As a result, existing customers let us know they really appreciated us being there. And with all the hustle and bustle and many contacts, the three days flew by.

We hope that all our visitors to the booth experienced the atmosphere as positively as we have. The 2022 Recreation Trade Fair was one for us to frame. In a gold frame. We hope to talk further with our enthusiastic visitors soon!
